Marisa Toth McLeod Class of 2000
Marisa Toth McLeod is a 2000 graduate of Woodward and Hall of Fame scholarship recipient. She received a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations from Belmont University and a Master’s degree in Integrated Marketing Communications from Eastern Michigan. Marisa spent 13 years working in finance before transitioning to focusing on writing. She is a contributing writer for Her View From Home, Today Show Parents, Tiny Beans, and Toledo Moms. Her writing has also been featured on Finding Cooper’s Voice and published in We Have It Totally Under Control: A Pandemic Essay Collection Compiled and Edited by Alison Roth.
Marisa was very involved in activities at Woodward, but her favorite memories of her time there revolve around The Tattler. She was a Features Editor her senior year. Her work on the paper helped her to uncover her lifelong love of writing.
Marisa currently gives back to the Hall of Fame by serving as a Co-Chair on the Nominations Committee. “The work the Hall of Fame does is so, so important. We honor our esteemed alumni and help Woodward graduates pursue their post-secondary careers. I am honored to be a Hall of Fame scholarship recipient and to serve the Hall of Fame now.”
